The 2010 Lewis W. Blackman Patient Safety Champion Awards, which are endorsed by Health Sciences South Carolina (HSSC); PHT Services, Ltd. (PHTS); the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA); and Mothers Against Medical Error (MAME).  The awards, presented in three categories (Caregiver, Healthcare Executive or Manager and Advocate) are given to honor those individuals who have advanced patient safety and healthcare quality in South Carolina.
